Nymphetamine,
kayak perpaduan antara Nymphomania dengan vitamin yak, hehe. Kata ini berasal dari sebuah judul lagu sekaligus nama album keenam dari band metal Cradle of Filth. Gw mulai dengerin lagu-lagu di album ini sejak sekitaran tahun 2005 yang awalnya dari kaset radiotape punya temen terus karena bagus-bagus lagunya kemudian gw 'bajak' dengan ngerekam ulang ke kaset kosong. Bagian yg pertama bikin gw suka dengan lagu ini yaitu pas di bagian chorus yang dinyanyiin sama vokalis cewek. Meskipun jujur, saat itu belum paham sama arti lagu itu.
Menurut wikipedia (yang mana dapat kata tersebut dari Dani Filth - si vokalis Cradle of Filth langsung), Nymphetamine berasal dari penggabungan dua kata: "nymphette" dan "amphetamine" dengan pengertian dari Dani Filth seperti berikut:
a drug-like addiction to the woman in question, with her insidious vampire qualities literally bringing her lover back from the brink of the spiritual grave, only to bury him further on the strength of a whim. This is very Edgar Allan Poe in style, and leaves one thinking that, despite the character's inner agonies, he is really a welcome submissive who readily enjoys the terrible highs and lows of his relationship with this alluring and filthy succubus.
Kalo diterjemahkan secara bebas sih, Nymphetamine sendiri menggambarkan kondisi seseorang yang kecanduan berlebihan terhadap seorang wanita, seperti halnya orang yang kecanduan terhadap drugs atau obat-obatan. Yang namanya udah kecanduan, orang tersebut bakalan ngelakuin apapun buat ngedapetin kekasih tercintanya itu, bahkan mungkin dengan cara yang kotor sekalipun dan berharap bisa selamanya bersama dengan wanita yang dipujanya itu. Dia melihat kekasihnya itu sebagai sosok perempuan yang sempurna, seperti seorang dewi yang memiliki hasrat seksual yang tinggi.
